What has been built so far
Expanding access to Islamic texts
Gathered 14,825 heritage works into a single catalogue (8,593 from al-Maktaba al-Shamela and 6,232 from the OpenITI corpus), cleanly formatted, readable, and open to everyone.
Full book texts extracted and indexed for search — including footnotes and book cards (publisher, edition, year) wherever the source carries them.
Research tools, not just a search engine
Hybrid retrieval that combines meaning with wording, so a search finds the idea even when the phrasing differs — and can be narrowed to chosen books, authors, or genres.
An assistant that reads the sources and answers with citations, plus a verifier that checks every quotation really exists in its source before it reaches you.
From a question to a written paper
Baaheth drafts a fully structured academic paper — introduction, chapters, conclusion — quoting the books verbatim and citing them to the page, then proofreads it and exports to Word or PDF with correct Arabic typesetting. Researchers can also upload their own PDFs, and the assistant will read and cite them alongside the library.

A fatwa database
Building an indexed fatwa database, each entry traced back to its original source, gathered in one place instead of scattered across sites.
Linking every fatwa to its evidence and to where the question is treated in the school's own books — so the reasoning is visible, not just the ruling.
A citation graph across the books
Tracing transmission between works: who quoted whom, where a phrase first appears, and how later books carried it forward.
Offering that graph to researchers as a map to navigate rather than a list of results — the heaviest item on this roadmap, and the furthest-reaching.
Sources beyond the classical corpus
Adding dissertations and peer-reviewed journals through OCR, since most of them today exist only as images rather than text.
Bringing in specialist encyclopaedias and lexicons, linked to the classical texts inside the same catalogue.
